They are trying to survive, not having any family or basic services to fall back on. We spent a morning with them, talking about the consequences of drugs and alcohol and the importance of handwashing, sharing a meal and listening to their heartbreaking stories. We were touched by their willpower to survive and the joy left in their hearts. And we are grateful to be able to give them access to some basic products, through our project and through other things we could take to Chad and distribute to them!
